Erik is a MN native who grew big in Winona, MN, then moved to Mpls in 2011 and was given the opportunity to grow up. At the age of 4, Erik was given a cassette player and would walk around the neighborhood listening to cassette tapes. It was then he knew he had to play music in his life. Erik started his musical journey singing in choirs as a youngster. Drums became his main obsession at age 9. At the age of 21, the harmonica picked him and the rest is history yet to be written. Erik specializes in that 1950’s Chicago sound as well as the west coast stylings of David Barrett, who he worked with for a year during Covid. Erik’s philosophy is that it’s “All In The Groove” and that entertaining is the largest part of what people come to see.

Doran Wetzel
Guitar, No vocals whatsoever, Hat
Despite not filling out the application, Doran Wetzel is a guitarist for B-4. Having been born into a musical household, he went through drums, bass, five years of piano lessons, guitar, and tuba (for 2.8 seconds) before finally settling back on guitar. Since then, he’s played in many bands and learned the golden rule “any gig you can walk away from is a good gig”. His musical influences range from blues, jazz, classical, classic rock, Americana, funk, and indie music. Forever a student of strings and sound.
Paul Madore
Drummer, Keeper of Time
Originally from the East coast, Paul moved to Minnesota during the Halloween blizzard of 1991. His deep love of music has enabled him to fill the drummer’s chair in a wide variety of styles, including Funk, Rock, Jazz, and Blues. He also plays classical percussion.
In addition to performing, Paul is an avid record collector of both vinyl records and 78 rpm shellac discs, a hobby he shares with his son.
Some of Paul’s favorite Blues artists include T-Bone Walker, Albert King, and Koko Taylor as well as the Jump/Swing of Wynonie Harris, Louis Jordan, and Roomful of Blues.

Ed Dunn
Bass, Coffee Enthusiast
Ed started playing bass in high school in the early '70s when disco was hot. That pushed him firmly toward American roots music, particularly blues and jazz. "There's nothing like the goosebumps you get when playing passionate, soulful music," Ed says.
He's been in many bands through the years; The Crowns, Scooter Trash, The Minnesota Barking Ducks, and the Pete K. Group to name a few.
"Every time I play with a new group of musicians, I pick up new skills and expand my repertoire. Fillet-O-Soul has been a great band to utilize much of what I've learned, and John's a very good band leader."
Ed's married and has two grown kids and two crazy dogs who sometimes howl along with his funky bass lines...
